Internalization of the 2020 Population Census

The internalization of SP2020 activities was carried out on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the BPS office in Banten Province. This activity was carried out in order to prepare and strengthen the understanding of SP2020 activities among employees and MAKO (Secretariat) SP2020 throughout Banten Province and launching the official e-mail SP2020 BPS Banten Province (sp2020.banten@bps.go.id) as one of the coordination media. To further disseminate the activities of SP2020, socialization was also conducted to external parties including students.

Population Census (SP) is the largest census conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to record the entire population of Indonesia every 10 years. SP2020 became the seventh SP implemented in Indonesia. The 2020 Population Census (SP2020) aims to provide data on the number, composition, distribution and characteristics of the Indonesian population. SP2020 data is needed as a basis for development planning up to the smallest area.
