BANTEN ECONOMY GROWS 4.93 PERCENT (y-on-y) IN 3RD QUARTER 2024

Banten's economy based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices for the third quarter of 2024 reached IDR 219.88 trillion and at constant 2010 prices IDR 133.35 trillion.

In Quarter III 2024, Banten's economy grew 4.93 percent y-on-y (Quarter III-2024 compared to Quarter III-2023). In terms of production, almost all business fields experienced growth, except for the electricity and gas procurement business fields, as well as mining and quarrying which experienced contraction (negative growth). Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, all components experienced positive growth.

Business fields that have a large contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) include the Processing Industry at 30.36 percent, Wholesale and Retail Trade at 12.30 percent, and Transportation and Warehousing at 11.90 percent. In terms of expenditure, components that have a large contribution to GRDP include Household Consumption of 53.73 percent, Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) of 34.06 percent and Total Net Exports of 7.88 percent.

The highest source of growth in Quarter III-2024 according to business field is the Manufacturing Industry at 1.16 percent. Meanwhile, the highest source of growth according to expenditure was Household Consumption at 2.60 percent.
