Abstract

Entering August 2015 the price of basic needs goods/services in Banten generally increased. This is evident from the increased number of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 126.92 in July 2015 to 127.83 in August 2015, or a change index (inflation) by 0.72 percent.
This inflation occured as six of the seven groups of expenditure that is increasing index, namely respectively: foodstuffs gained 0.23; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco rose 0.46 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose 0.02 percent; health group rose 5.78 percent, education, recreation and sport rose 2.59 percent; and transport, communication and financial services rose 0.22 percent. While only in the clothing group only index decreased by -0.31 percent.
The dominant commodities contributing to inflation this month were the rate the hospital, tutoring, red pepper, garlic and tuition.
Calendar inflation rate 2015 stood at 3.05 percent. While inflation "Year on Year" (CPI August 2015 to August 2014) was recorded at 8.74 percent.
