Abstract

Entering April 2017, the prices of basic goods / services in Banten generally increased slightly. This is evident from the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 134.88 in March to 134.96 in April or an index change (inflation) of 0.06 percent.
Dominant commodities contributing to inflation this month are electricity, air transportation, salty anchovies, white cigarettes, noodles, jengkol and chicken meat.
The calendar year inflation rate stood at 1.34 percent, while the inflation "Year on Year" (CPI April 2017 to April 2016) was recorded at 4.18 percent.
