November 2017 Banten Inflation by 0.35 Percent

·         Entering November 2017, prices of basic goods / services in Banten generally increased. This is evident from the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 137.04 in October to 137.51 in November or an index change (inflation) of 0.35 percent.

·         All existing expenditure groups experienced a rise in indexes, respectively: foodstuffs rose by 0.74 percent; the transport, communication and financial services group increased by 0.36 percent; education, recreation and sports groups rose by 0.28 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group rose by 0.24 percent; finished food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco groups up by 0.17 percent; clothing group rose by 0.14 percent and health group rose by 0.05 percent.

·         Dominant commodities contributing to inflation in November are red peppers, air transport fares, onions, oranges, foreign language courses and milk for toddlers.

·         The calendar year inflation rate was 3.25 percent, while the inflation "Year on Year" (CPI November 2017 to November 2016) was 3.89 percent.
