Abstract

Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) is carried out 3 times in 10 years. Based on the results of Podes, in Banten Province in 2018 there were 1,552 village administration areas at the village level consisting of 1,238 villages, 314 sub-districts, Podes also noted that there were 155 sub-districts and 8 districts / cities.

From the results of Podes' data collection, BPS calculates the Village Development Index (IPD), which can show the level of village development in the category of lagging, developing and independent. The higher the IPD, the more independent the village is. The number of independent villages in Banten is 143 villages (11.55 percent), villages develop 1,047 villages (84.57 percent), and villages lag behind 48 villages (3.88 percent),

The average IPD for Transportation dimensions is 80.08, the dimensions of the Village Administration are 72.26, the Basic Services dimension is 65.55, the Public Service Dimensions are 58.26, and the dimensions of Infrastructure Conditions are 51.09
