In August 2019 Banten Inflation was 0.42 Percent

In August 2019, prices of goods / services for basic needs of the people in Banten in general have increased. This can be seen from a change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 146.47 in July to 147.08 in August or a change in index (inflation) of 0.42 percent.

• Six of the expenditure groups that have experienced an increase in the index, namely in a row: the housing group, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose by 1.26 percent, the clothing group increased by 0.91 percent, the foodstuffs group increased by 0.54 percent, the processed food, drinks, cigarettes and tobacco group increased by 0.19 percent, the health group rose by 0.13 percent, the education, recreation and sports group increased by 0.07 percent. While the transportation, communication and financial services group experienced an index decline of -0.53 percent.

• The dominant commodities contributing to inflation this August are house rent, red chillies, melons, chillies cayenne, gold jewelery, water spinach, white bread, gado-gado, household fuel and bloating.

• The calendar year inflation rate was 2.71 percent, while the "Year on Year" inflation (CPI August 2019 to August 2018) was 3.76 percent.
