Abstract

Human development in Banten consistently continues to progress, which is marked by an increase in the Human Development Index (HDI). In 2019, Banten HDI reached 72.44, an increase of 0.49 points compared to last year's 71.95.
  • The progress of Banten human development in 2019 has slowed. Marked by HDI growth of only 0.68 percent, lower than the growth in 2018 which reached 0.74 percent.
  • In 2019, the status of human development in Banten is at the level or category of "High". The status is still the same as in 2018.
  • Increased Banten HDI occurs in all forming components. With the highest growth for components Expenditures per capita are adjusted (PKP), while the lowest are in the Old School Expectations component (HLS). The value or achievement of Life Expectancy (UHH), HLS, Average Length of School (RLS), and PKP, respectively 69.84 years, 12.88 years, 8.74 years, and 12.3 million rupiah.
  • Increased Banten HDI occurs in all regions, with the highest and lowest HDI still being occupied by the City of South Tangerang (81.48) and Lebak Regency (63.88).
