Abstract

Main patterns of trade distribution in Banten:

Rice: Producers → Retailers → End Consumers.
Red chili: Outside the province → Wholesaler → Retailer → End Consumer.
Shallots: Outside the province → Agents → Retailers → End Consumers.
Breed chicken: Producers → Wholesalers → Retailers → End Consumers.

The Margin of Trade and Transportation (MPP) for Banten Province's total rice in 2019 amounted to 12.42 percent; red chilies 38.56 percent; red onion 28.35 percent; and 58.99 percent of purebred chicken.
