Abstract

  • Human development in Banten is consistently progressing, which is indicated by the increase in the Human Development Index (IPM). In 2021, Banten's HDI has reached 72.72, or an increase of 0.27 points compared to last year's 72.45.
  • The progress of Banten's human development in 2021 is accelerating. Marked by the HDI growth which reached 0.37 percent, higher than the growth in 2020 which was only 0.01 percent.
  • In 2021, the status of human development in Banten will be at the “High” level or category. The status is still the same as in 2020.
  • The increase in Banten's HDI occurred in all constituent components. With the highest growth for the component of Life Expectancy (HLS), while the lowest is in the Life Expectancy (UHH) component. The values ​​or achievements of UHH, HLS, Average Years of Schooling (RLS), and Adjusted Expenditures per Capita (PKP), are 70.02 years, 13.02 years, 8.93 years, and 12.0 million rupiah, respectively. .
  • The increase in Banten HDI occurred in all regions, with the highest and lowest HDI still occupied by South Tangerang City (81.60) and Lebak Regency (64.03).
