Abstract

A. Export Development

  • Banten's export value in April 2022 rose 1.78 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1.41 billion to US$1.44 billion.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in April 2022 increased by 1.27 percent to US$1.43 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in April 2022 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$263.46 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in April 2022 was the United States with an export value of US$250.99 million.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in April 2022 experienced an increase in the manufacturing sector as well as the mining and other sectors, while the agricultural sector declined compared to the previous month.
  • Banten's highest export value in April 2022 was through Tanjung Priok Port, which reached US$1.04 billion.

B. Import Development

  • Banten's import value in April 2022 fell 9.0 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1.85 billion to US$1.68 billion.
  • Oil and gas imports in April 2022 decreased 2.04 percent from US$696.60 million in the previous month to US$682.68 million. Compared to oil and gas, non-oil and gas commodities experienced a 13.20 percent decline in the value of imports to US$1.00 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in April 2022 came from the organic chemical group (HS 29) which reached US$304.27 million.
  • The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in April 2022 was Singapore with an import value of US$ 102.96 million.
  • The import value by category of use of goods in April 2022 compared to the previous month experienced an increase in the value of imports occurred in the consumption goods category, while there was a decrease in the import value of raw/auxiliary materials and capital goods.
  • Judging from the port of unloading, the largest import value for April 2022 came from the Merak Port which reached US$974.02 million.
