Abstract

A. Export Development

  • Banten's export value in July 2022 fell 4.37 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1.19 billion to US$1.14 billion.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in July 2022 decreased 5.07 percent to US$1.11 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in July 2022 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$252.63 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in July 2022 was the United States with an export value of US$178.88 million.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in July 2022 experienced a decline in the manufacturing and agricultural sectors, while in the mining and other sectors, there was no change compared to the previous month.
  • The highest export value of Banten in July 2022 was through Tanjung Priok Port which reached US$982.84 million.

 B. Import Development

  • Banten's import value in July 2022 fell 3.52 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1.67 billion to US$1.61 billion.
  • Oil and gas imports in July 2022 rose 5.26 percent from US$685.86 million in the previous month to US$721.95 million. In contrast to oil and gas, for non-oil and gas commodities, there was a 9.64 percent decline in the value of imports to US$889.33 million compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in July 2022 came from the organic chemical group (HS 29) which reached US$200.80 million.
  • The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in July 2022 was Australia with an import value of US$188.89 million.
  • The value of imports by class of use of goods in July 2022 compared to the previous month, there was a decrease in the value of imports of raw/auxiliary materials and capital goods, while the increase in import value occurred in the category of consumer goods.
  • Judging from the port of unloading, the largest import value for July 2022 came from Merak Port which reached US$817.70 million.
