Abstract

In December 2022 there was year on year (yoy) inflation in all CPI cities in Banten Province. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Serang at 7.22 percent with a CPI of 117.75. Next in Cilegon was 5.86 percent with a CPI of 115.84. The lowest inflation occurred in Tangerang at 4.56 percent with a CPI of 111.82.

Inflation in Serang City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 10 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 22.87 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group of 7.19 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 7.16 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.80 percent; personal care and other services group of 6.69 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 4.44 percent; the health group by 3.63 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 1.47 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.24 percent; the education group by 0.36 percent; Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.69 percent.

Inflation in Cilegon City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 10 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 16.57 percent; the education group of 7.19 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.95 percent; personal care and other services group of 5.92 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 5.50 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 5.06 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 3.23 percent; the health group by 2.33 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.11 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.81 percent; Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.16 percent.

Tangerang City's inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 10 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 18.80 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 7.87 percent; the health group by 6.31 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.49 percent; personal care and other services group of 4.31 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.51 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 1.33 percent; recreation, sport and culture group by 0.63 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.33 percent; the education group by 0.03 percent; Meanwhile the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.06 percent.

April 2023 Year On Year (Yoy) Inflation For Serang Municipality Was 4.91 Percent. In April 2023 Month-To-Month (Mtm) Inflation For Serang Municipality Was 0.35 Percent.
