Abstract

  • Starting in 2023, in January the prices of goods and services needed by the people of Tangerang City in general have increased, this can be seen from the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 111.82 in December 2022 to 112.31 in December January 2023 or there will be a change in the inflation index of 0.44 percent.
  • Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the entire expenditure group index. The transportation group was the expenditure group that experienced the highest inflation, amounting to 14.74 percent. Followed by the equipment, equipment and household maintenance group of 7.02 percent. Then the personal care and other services group increased by 6.75 percent, the health group increased by 6.67 percent, and the food, beverage and tobacco group experienced an increase in inflation of 4.71 percent. While 6 other expenditure groups experienced an increase in inflation between 0 - 2 percent.
  • The calendar year inflation rate (January 2023 to December 2022) is 0.44 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate for January 2023 to January 2022 is 4.54 percent.
  • The five commodities that contributed the most to inflation yoy this month consisted of gasoline, house rent, wages for household assistants, non-foreman workers and household fuel. Meanwhile, the five commodities contributing the highest to deflation consisted of cooking oil, kale, bananas, shampoo and cayenne pepper.
  • Meanwhile, the five commodities contributing the highest to mom inflation (month of the month) consisted of house rent, rice, red chilies, gold jewelery and filter clove cigarettes. Meanwhile, the five commodities that contributed the most to deflation consisted of air transportation, gasoline, tomatoes, eggs, and headscarves/headscarves.
