Abstract

  • In March 2023 the prices of goods and services needed by the people of Tangerang City generally increased, this can be seen from the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 112.54 in February 2023 to 112.70 in March 2023 or there was a change inflation index of 0.14 percent.
  • The transportation group was the expenditure group that experienced the highest inflation, namely 14.33 percent. Followed by the health group at 7.57 percent. Then the personal care and other services group increased by 5.71 percent, the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group increased by 5.09 percent, and the food, beverage and tobacco group increased by 2.50 percent, while 6 expenditure groups others experienced an increase in inflation between 0-2 percent.
  • The inflation rate for the calendar year (March 2023 against December 2022) is 0.79 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate for March 2023 against March 2022 is 3.75 percent.
  • The five commodities that contributed the highest to inflation y-o-y this month consisted of gasoline, house rent, rice, non-foreman craftsmen, and filter clove cigarettes. Meanwhile, the five commodities contributing the highest to deflation consisted of cooking oil, red chilies, kale, tomatoes and purebred chicken.
  • Meanwhile, the five commodities that contributed the highest to m-o-m (month of the month) inflation consisted of gasoline, powder/liquid detergent soap, beef, mackerel, and potatoes. Meanwhile, the five commodities that contributed the most to deflation were red chilies, shallots, biscuits, milkfish and powdered milk.
