Development of Consumer Price Index/Inflation Combined 3 Cities in Banten Province October 2023

Abstract

In October 2023, the combined year on year (yoy) inflation for the 3 cities will be 2.35 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.34. The highest yoy inflation occurred in the city of Cilegon at 2.85 percent with a CPI of 118.55. Next in Tangerang was 2.32 percent with a CPI of 114.10. The lowest inflation occurred in Serang at 2.09 percent with a CPI of 119.47.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for 11 expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.47 percent; personal care and other services group at 4.35 percent; health group at 2.52 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 2.16 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.81 percent; transportation group by 1.58 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.39 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.87 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.67 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.87 percent; education group of 0.56 percent.
The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for October 2023 was 0.18 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for October 2023 was 1.99 percent.
