Development of the Combined Consumer Price Index/Inflation for 3 Cities in Banten Province, November 2023

Abstract

In November 2023 there was a combined year on year (yoy) inflation of 3 cities of 3.03 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 116.00. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Cilegon city at 3.60 percent with a CPI of 119.30. Next was Tangerang at 3.09 percent with a CPI of 114.78. The lowest inflation occurred in Serang at 2.23 percent with a CPI of 119.88.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of 11 expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.51 percent; personal care and other services group by 5.05 percent; health group by 2.43 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 2.17 percent; transportation group by 1.97 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.78 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.48 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 1.20 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.88 percent; education group by 0.66 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.59 percent.
The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for November 2023 was 0.57 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for November 2023 was 2.57 percent.
