Abstract

In January 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Banten Province will be 2.59 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.60. The highest inflation occurred in Lebak Regency at 4.14 percent with a CPI of 105.45 and the lowest occurred in Serang City at 2.06 percent with a CPI of 104.76.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.76 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.81 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.43 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.81 percent; health group at 0.74 percent; transportation group by 1.51 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.17 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.92 percent; education group at 0.42 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.31 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.93 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Banten Province in January 2024 are 0.04 percent each.
