Development of Banten Province Consumer Price Index in June 2024

Abstract

In June 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Banten Province will be 2.49 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.97. The highest inflation occurred in Tangerang Municipality at 2.82 percent with a CPI of 105.98.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price changes as indicated by the increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.89 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.68 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.35 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.86 percent; health group at 1.51 percent; transportation group at 1.14 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.20 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.66 percent; education group by 0.70 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.15 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 5.39 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Banten Province in June 2024 is 0.08 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 1.27 percent.
