Development of Farmers Term of Trade and Grain Price in Banten Province in August 2024

·         Banten FTT in August 2024 was 108.88, an increase of 1.93 percent from the previous month's FTT. This was due to an increase in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) by 1.99 percent and the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) by 0.06 percent.

·         In August 2024, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index in Banten Province by 0.06 percent. The increase in the Household Consumption Index occurred in six expenditure groups, namely Personal Care and Other Services; Transportation; Clothing and Footwear; Provision of Food and Beverages/Restaurants; Health; and Household Equipment, Equipment and Routine Maintenance. Meanwhile, the decrease in the Household Consumption Index occurred in one expenditure group, namely Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups for Food, Beverages and Tobacco; Information, Communication, and Financial Services; Recreation, Sports, and Culture; and Education did not experience significant changes.

·         Banten Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for August 2024 was 114.03 or increased by 1.91 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.

·         The price of grain at the farmer level in August 2024 experienced an increase in the quality of Dried Unhusked Grain (GKG) by 2.04 percent and an increase in the quality of Dried Harvested Grain (GKP) by 1.58 percent.

·         The average price of grain in August 2024 at the farmer level for GKG quality grain IDR6,723, and GKP IDR6,230 per kg. For GKG quality, the highest price was IDR6,800 for the Ciherang variety, and the lowest price was IDR6,500 for the IR-64 variety.
