Banten's economy based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the second quarter of 2024 reached IDR217.11 trillion and at constant 2010 prices IDR132.08 trillion.
In the second quarter of 2024, Banten's economy grew by 4.70 percent y-on-y (second quarter of 2024 compared to second quarter of 2023). From the production side, almost all business sectors experienced growth, except for the electricity and gas supply business sector, as well as mining and excavation which experienced contraction (negative growth). Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, all components experienced positive growth.
Business sectors that have a large contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) include the Manufacturing Industry at 30.01 percent, Wholesale and Retail Trade at 12.41 percent, and Transportation and Warehousing at 11.53 percent. In terms of expenditure, components that have a large contribution to GRDP include Household Consumption at 53.53 percent, Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) at 33.19 percent and Total Net Exports at 8.60 percent.
The highest source of growth in the second quarter of 2024 according to the business sector is the Manufacturing Industry at 1.22 percent. Meanwhile, the highest source of growth according to expenditure is Household Consumption at 2.59 percent.
