At the beginning of Ramadan 2026, Banten Province's inflation (month to month) was 0.93 percent, the highest in Pandeglang Regency and the lowest in Tangerang City.

Serang, (02/03) - BPS-Statistics Banten Province recorded month-to-month inflation of 0.93 percent in February 2026, representing an increase in the Consumer Price Index from 109.16 in January 2025 to 110.18 in February 2026. Meanwhile, year-on-year inflation was 5.14 percent, and year-to-date inflation was 0.59 percent.

The two expenditure groups that contributed the most to inflation in February 2026 were Food, Beverages, and Tobacco, which experienced inflation of 2.53 percent, contributing 0.81 percentage points. The second group was Personal Care and Other Services, which experienced inflation of 1.39 percent, contributing 0.09 percentage points. Meanwhile, the expenditure group experiencing deflation was Transportation, which experienced 0.30 percent deflation, contributing 0.03 percentage points to the inflation rate.

The five main commodities driving month-to-month inflation were broiler chicken, contributing 0.15 percent to the inflation rate; gold jewelry, 0.12 percent; cayenne pepper, 0.09 percent; shallots, 0.08 percent; and goldfish, 0.07 percent. Meanwhile, the five commodities experiencing price declines and contributing to deflation were gasoline, contributing 0.05 percent to the deflation rate; deodorant, 0.02 percent; carrots, 0.01 percent; liquid detergent, 0.01 percent; and wafers, 0.01 percent.

The highest month-to-month inflation occurred in Pandeglang Regency, with month-to-month inflation of 1.64 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Tangerang Municipality, with month-to-month inflation of 0.64 percent. Meanwhile, for annual or year-on-year inflation in February 2026, the highest inflation occurred in Pandeglang Regency with 5.86 percent year-on-year inflation, and the lowest inflation occurred in Tangerang Municipality with 4.64 percent year-on-year inflation.
