May 2018 Banten Inflation of 0.10 Percent

Entering in May 2018, the prices of basic goods / services in Banten generally increased. This is evident from the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 140.09 in April to 140.22 in May or an index change (inflation) of 0.10 percent.
Six of the seven expenditure groups experienced an increase in index, respectively: clothing category which rose by 0.40 percent; foodstuffs rose by 0.19 percent; health groups rose by 0.13 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group rose by 0.12 percent; the education, recreation and sports group rose by 0.05 percent and the food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco category rose by 0.02 percent while the transport, communication and financial services group decreased by -0.13 percent;
Dominant commodities contributing to inflation in May were eggs, chicken, red onion, oranges, live chickens and anchovies.
The calendar year inflation rate stood at 1.26 percent, while the inflation "Year on Year" (CPI May 2018 to May 2017) was recorded at 3.35 percent
