October 2018 banten inflation of 0.01 percent

§  In October 2018, the prices of goods / services for the basic needs of the people in Banten generally increased. This can be seen from the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 141.74 in September to 141.75 in October or a change in the index (inflation) of 0.01 percent.

§  Five of the seven expenditure groups experienced an increase in index, namely: housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel increased by 0.52 percent, the transportation, communication and financial services group rose by 0.38 percent, the clothing group increased by 0.23 percent, education, recreation and sports groups which rose by 0.08 percent, processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups rose by 0.03 percent; while the health group experienced a decrease in index of -0.17 and the foodstuffs fell by -0.89 percent;

§  The dominant commodity contributing to inflation in October is housing rent, gasoline, milk for toddlers, coconuts and stoves.
