Abstract

The improvement in consumer economic conditions in Quarter IV-2019 was driven by improvements in all forming variables, namely rising household income, low influence of inflation on consumption levels and increasing consumption of food, processed food in restaurants / restaurants and not food.

Banten Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in the first quarter of 2020, estimated at 114.85. Means, the economic condition of consumers in the coming quarter is expected to improve. The level of consumer optimism is also expected to increase compared to Quarter IV-2019 (ITK of 109.11).

Improvement in the economic condition of consumers in the first quarter of 2020, is expected to occur due to an increase in household income, which is strengthened by an increase in plans for purchasing durable goods, recreation and parties / celebration by consumers.
