The level of inequality in the expenditure of the Banten population in March 2021 is still the same as the conditions in September 2020. The Gini Ratio in March 2021 is 0.365.

Abstract

In March 2021, the level of inequality in Banten residents' expenditure as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.365. This figure is still the same as the September 2020 Gini Ratio of 0.365.

The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2021 was recorded at 0.369, up from the Gini Ratio in September 2020 which was 0.361. Meanwhile, the Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2021 was 0.280, a decrease compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2020, which was 0.296.

In March 2021, the distribution of expenditure for the bottom 40 percent of the population is 18.78 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the category of low inequality level. If broken down by region, in urban areas the figure was recorded at 18.39 percent and in rural areas it was 22.82 percent.
