The level of inequality in spending by Banten residents in March 2019 has declined. The Gini Ratio in March 2019 is 0.365.

Abstract

In March 2019, the level of inequality of Banten residents' expenditure measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.365. This figure is down 0.002 points when compared to the September 2018 Gini Ratio which is 0.367.

The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2019 was recorded at 0.360 down compared to the September 2018 Gini Ratio which was 0.362. Similarly, the Gini Ratio in rural areas declined from 0.299 in September 2018 to 0.294 in March 2019.

As of March 2019, the distribution of expenditure for the lowest 40 percent of the population is 18.39 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the low level of inequality category. If detailed by region, in urban areas the figure is 18.39 percent and in rural areas it is 21.80 percent.
