Abstract

A. Export Development

  • Banten's export value in January 2022 fell 4.09 percent compared to December 2021, from the previous US$1.29 billion to US$1.24 billion.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in January 2022 decreased 4.69 percent to US$1.23 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in January 2022 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$258.07 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in January 2022 was the United States with an export value of US$233.33 million.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in January 2022 experienced an increase in the agricultural sector, as well as the mining and other sectors, while the industrial sector decreased compared to the previous month.
  • Banten's highest export value in January 2022 was through Tanjung Priok Port, which reached US$1.01 billion.

B. Import Development

  • Banten's import value in January 2022 fell 17.88 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1.52 billion to US$1.25 billion.
  • Oil and gas imports in January 2022, which fell 17.35 percent from US$594.35 million in the previous month to US$491.22 million. Compared to oil and gas, non-oil and gas commodities experienced a decline in the value of imports by 18.21 percent to US$760.54 million compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in January 2022 came from the organic chemical group (HS 29) which reached US$249.19 million.
  • The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in January 2022 was Thailand with an import value of US$125.44 million.
  • The value of imports by category of use of goods in January 2022 compared to the previous month experienced a decline in the value of imports, which occurred in the category of consumer goods, raw/auxiliary materials, and capital goods.
  • Judging from the port of unloading, the largest import value for January 2022 came from Merak Port which reached US$718.22 million.
