Abstract

A. Export Development

  • Banten's export value in August 2022 fell by 2.18 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1.14 billion to US$1.12 billion.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in August 2022 decreased 3.31 percent to US$1.07 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in August 2022 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$237.64 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in August 2022 was the United States with an export value of US$154.77 million.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in August 2022 experienced a decline in all sectors, namely the manufacturing sector, the agricultural sector, and the mining sector and others.
  • Banten's highest export value in August 2022 was through Tanjung Priok Port, which reached US$946.44 million.

B. Import Development

  • Banten's import value in August 2022 fell 7.48 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1.61 billion to US$1.49 billion.
  • Oil and gas imports in August 2022 fell 12.64 percent from US$721.95 million in the previous month to US$630.72 million. The same thing happened to non-oil and gas commodities, namely a 3.30 percent decline in the value of imports to US$859.98 million compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in August 2022 came from the organic chemical group (HS 29) which reached US$229.78 million.
  • The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in August 2022 was Australia with an import value of US$111.97 million.
  • The import value by category of use of goods in August 2022 compared to the previous month experienced a decrease in the value of imports in all categories of goods, namely raw/auxiliary materials by US$99.88 million (6.45 percent), consumer goods by US$15.97 million (32.73 percent), and capital goods of US$4.72 million (32.90 percent).
  • Judging from the port of unloading, the largest import value for August 2022 came from Merak Port which reached US$794.23 million.
