Banten Economic Growth Quarter I-2022

Abstract

Banten's economy as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices in the first quarter of 2022 reached Rp. 177.29 trillion and at constant 2010 prices to Rp. 119.27 trillion.
Banten's economy as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices in the first quarter of 2022 reached Rp. 177.29 trillion and at constant 2010 prices to Rp. 119.27 trillion. Banten's economy in the first quarter of 2022 grew 4 .97 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, growth was driven by almost all business fields, with the highest growth achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing business sector of 16.98 percent. From the expenditure side, the Total Net Export component experienced the highest growth of 36.78 percent.
Banten economy in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter grew by 0.48 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries business fields recorded the highest growth of 11.23 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was recorded by the Total Net Export Component of 23.53 percent.
The economic structure of the provinces throughout Java in the first quarter of 2022 was still dominated by DKI Jakarta, which contributed 29.50 percent to the GRDP on the island of Java. Then, East Java and West Java were ranked second and third with contributions reaching 25.10 percent and 22.48 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, Banten contributed 6.85 percent.
