The percentage of poor people in Banten in March 2022 fell to 6.16 percent

Abstract

The percentage of poor people in Banten Province in March 2022 was 6.16 percent, decreased by 0.34 percentage points against September 2021 and also decreased by 0.50 percentage points against March 2021.
The number of poor people in March 2022 was 814.02 thousand people, a decrease of 38.26 thousand people from September 2021 and a decrease of 53.21 thousand people from March 2021.
The percentage of the urban poor in September 2021 was 6.04 percent, down to 5.73 percent in March 2022. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in September 2021 was 7.72 percent, down to 7.46 percent in March 2022.
Compared to September 2021, the number of urban poor in March 2022 decreased by 10.13 thousand people (from 576.62 thousand people in September 2021 to 566.49 thousand people in March 2022). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 28.12 thousand people (from 275.66 thousand people in September 2021 to 247.54 thousand people in March 2022).
The Poverty Line in March 2022 was recorded at IDR 570,368/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 412,182 (72.27 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 158,185 (27.73 percent).
In March 2022, the average poor household in Banten had 4.86 household members. Thus, the size of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is IDR 2,711,988,-/poor household/month.
