Abstract

In February 2023 there was year on year (yoy) inflation in Serang Municipality. Inflation that occurred in Serang was 6.70 percent with a CPI of 118.64. February 2023 month-to-month (mtm) inflation in Serang Municipality was 0.42 percent.
Year on year (yoy) inflation in Serang Municipality occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 11 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 19.28 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.52 percent; personal care and other services group of 6.07 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 5.63 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 5.34 percent; the health group by 5.03 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 4.26 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 3.07 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.73 percent; the education group by 0.63 percent; Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.74 percent.
Month to month (mtm) inflation in Serang Municipality occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 7 expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.17 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.26 percent; personal care and other services group by 0.14 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.09 percent; transportation group by 0.04 percent; the clothing and footwear group and the equipment, tools and household routine maintenance group each by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile the information, communication and financial services group and the education group each amounted to less than 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the health group experienced a deflation of 0.10 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.08 percent.
