Abstract

In March 2023 there was year on year (yoy) inflation in the city of Serang. Inflation that occurred in Serang was 5.37 percent with a CPI of 118.47. March 2023 month-to-month (mtm) deflation for the city of Serang was 0.14 percent.
Year on year (yoy) inflation in Serang City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 11 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 18.00 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.23 percent; personal care and other services group of 5.05 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 4.06 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 3.99 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 3.58 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 3.46 percent; the health group by 3.10 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.85 percent; the education group by 0.63 percent; Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.74 percent.
Month to month (mtm) deflation in Serang City occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index of 3 expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.67 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.35 percent; the health group by 0.17 percent. While the other 8 groups experienced inflation, namely the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.40 percent; personal care and other services group by 0.22 percent; transportation group by 0.19 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.15 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.04 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile the information, communication and financial services group and the education group each amounted to less than 0.01 percent.

March 2020 The Combined Inflation Of 3 City Of CPI In Banten Province Was 0.04 Percent. The Highest Inflation Occurred In Serang City By 0.22 Percent.
