Abstract

In April 2023 there was year on year (yoy) inflation in Serang Municipality. Inflation that occurred in Serang was 4.91 percent with a CPI of 118.88. In April 2023 month-to-month (mtm) inflation for Serang Municipality was 0.35 percent.
Year on year (yoy) inflation in Serang Municipality occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 10 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 17.41 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.69 percent; personal care and other services group of 4.53 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 3.45 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 3.18 percent; the health group by 3.14 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 3.08 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 2.86 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.25 percent; the education group by 0.63 percent; Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.70 percent.
Month to month (mtm) inflation in Serang Municipality occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 6 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 1.54 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.42 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.34 percent; the health group by 0.15 percent; personal care and other services group by 0.12 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decrease in index (deflation) were equipment, tools and household routine maintenance by 0.12 percent; and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile the other 3 groups, namely the information, communication and financial services group; the education group, and the food and beverage/restaurant provision group each experienced inflation of less than 0.01 percent.
