Abstract

A.        Export Development

  • Banten's export value in March 2023 rose 24.91 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$0.93 billion to US$1.16 billion.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in March 2023 increased by 22.44 percent to US$1.13 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in March 2023 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$191.76 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in March 2023 was China with an export value of US$144.82 million.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in March 2023 experienced an increase in the industrial sector and the mining sector and others. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector experienced a decline.
  • Banten's highest export value in March 2023 was through the Port of Tanjung Priok which reached US$926.40 million.

B.        Import Development

  • Banten's import value in March 2023 rose 46.37 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1.16 billion to US$1.69 billion.
  • Oil and gas imports in March 2023 rose 22.11 percent from US$440.17 million in the previous month to US$537.48 million. Then in non-oil and gas commodities there was an increase in the value of imports by 61.29 percent to US$1,154.56 million when compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in March 2023 came from the organic chemicals group (HS 29), which reached US$273.46 million.
  • The largest supplier of imported non-oil and gas goods in March 2023 was Thailand with an import value of US$188.21 million.
  • The value of imports by category of goods used in March 2023 compared to the previous month experienced an increase in the value of raw/auxiliary materials by US$467.69 million (42.68 percent) and capital goods increased by US$70.22 million (227.39 percent). Meanwhile, consumption goods decreased by US$1.87 million (6.39 percent).
  • Judging from the port of discharge, the largest import value for March 2023 came from the Port of Merak which reached US$982.09 million.
