Abstract

A. Export Development

  • Banten April 2023 export value fell 24.60 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1.16 billion to US$0.88 billion.
  • April 2023 non-oil and gas exports decreased by 23.77 percent to US$0.86 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in April 2023 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$145.55 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country for April 2023 was China with an export value of US$131.21 million.
  • April 2023 non-oil and gas exports experienced a decline in all sectors, both the industrial sector, the agricultural sector and the mining sector and others.
  • Banten's export value in April 2023 was the highest through Tanjung Priok Port, which reached US$ 683.21 million.

B. Import Development

  • Banten's April 2023 import value fell 17.05 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1.69 billion to US$1.40 billion.
  • Oil and gas imports in April 2023 rose 11.87 percent from US$537.48 million in the previous month to US$601.30 million. Then for non-oil and gas commodities there was a decrease in the value of imports by 30.52 percent to US$802.18 million when compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in April 2023 came from the organic chemicals group (HS 29) which reached US$224.51 million.
  • The largest supplier of imported non-oil and gas goods in April 2023 was Australia with an import value of US$150.70 million.
  • imports by category of goods used in April 2023 compared to the previous month, the value of raw/auxiliary materials decreased by US$213.56 million (13.66 percent) and capital goods decreased by US$78.56 million (77.71 percent). Meanwhile, consumer goods increased by US$3.56 million (13.03 percent).
  • Judging from the port of discharge, the largest import value for April 2023 came from the Port of Merak which reached US$813.95 million.
