July 2023 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation for 3 Cities in Banten Province is 2.93 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon Municipality at 3.28 percent.

Abstract

In July 2023, the combined year on year (yoy) inflation for the 3 cities was 2.93 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.03. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Cilegon Municipality at 3.28 percent with a CPI of 118.23. Next in Serang was 3.24 percent with a CPI of 119.48. The lowest inflation occurred in Tangerang at 2.82 percent with a CPI of 113.73.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index of 11 expenditure groups, namely the transportation group by 11.74 percent; personal care and other services group of 4.46 percent; the health group by 3.10 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 2.25 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.75 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.73 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.62 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 1.44 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 1.33 percent; the education group by 0.84 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group experienced a deflation of 0.36 percent.
The July 2023 month-to-month (mtm) inflation rate was 0.06 percent and the July 2023 year-to-date (ytd) inflation rate was 1.71 percent.

Inflation In November 2020 Was 0.14 Percent. The Highest Inflation Occurred In Cilegon With 0.23 Percent
