Abstract

A. Export Development

  • Banten's June 2023 export value fell 14.20 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1.12 billion to US$0.96 billion.
  • June 2023 non-oil and gas exports decreased by 15.06 percent to US$0.94 billion compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in June 2023 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$178.89 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country for June 2023 is China with an export value of US$131.52 million.
  • June 2023 non-oil and gas exports experienced an increase in the agricultural sector while the industrial and mining sectors and others experienced a decline.
  • Banten's highest export value in June 2023 was through Tanjung Priok Port, which reached US$ 824.53 million.

B. Import Development

  • Starting from the July 2023 release, the import value presented is based on data from the Customs and Excise Service Office (KPPBC) of Banten Province.
  • Banten's June 2023 import value fell 20.48 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$3.15 billion to US$2.50 billion.
  • Oil and gas imports in June 2023 fell 31.54 percent from US$558.90 million in the previous month to US$382.65 million. Likewise, for non-oil and gas commodities, the value of imports decreased by 18.10 percent to US$2.12 billion when compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in June 2023 came from machinery and electrical equipment (HS 85) which reached US$420.70 million.
  • The largest supplier of imported non-oil and gas goods in June 2023 was China with an import value of US$327.35 million.
  • The import value by category of use of goods in June 2023 compared to the previous month all experienced a decrease in value for raw/auxiliary materials by US$490.38 million (21.35 percent), capital goods decreased by US$85.79 million (14.70 percent) and goods consumption of US$69.03 million (25.68 percent).
