Development of Banten Province Consumer Price Index in April 2024

Abstract

In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Banten Province will be 3.42 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.60. The highest inflation occurred in Pandeglang Regency at 3.93 percent with a CPI of 106.99 and inflation occurred in Lebak Regency at 3.06 percent with a CPI of 106.47.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.93 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.56 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.36 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.96 percent; health group at 0.93 percent; transportation group by 1.72 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.24 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.72 percent; education group at 0.78 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.18 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 4.57 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Banten Province in April 2024 is 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 1.87 percent.
