Abstract

Banten's FTT in May 2024 was 103.41, a decrease of 2.06 percent from the previous month's FTT. This is due to the decline in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) by 2.66 percent and the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) by 0.61 percent.
In May 2024, there will be a decrease in the Household Consumption Index in Banten Province by 0.80 percent. The decline in the Household Consumption Index occurred in three expenditure groups, namely Food, Beverages and Tobacco; Clothing and Footwear; and Recreation, Sports, and Culture. Meanwhile, seven expenditure groups experienced an increase, namely Personal Care and Other Services; Supplies, Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance; Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel; Provision of Food and Beverage/Restaurant; Health; Transportation; and Information, Communication and Financial Services. Meanwhile, the Education expenditure group did not experience significant changes.
The Banten Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in May 2024 was 108.50 or down 2.69 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
The price of grain at the farmer level in May 2024 experienced a decline in the quality of milled dry grain (GKG) by 6.39 percent and a decline in the quality of harvested dry grain (GKP) by 3.79 percent.
The average price of grain in May 2024 at the farmer level for GKG quality is IDR 6,013, and GKP IDR 4,858 per kg. For GKG quality, the highest price is IDR 6,300 for the Ciherang variety and the lowest price is IDR 5,500 for the Ciherang and IR-64 varieties.
