Abstract

In May 2025 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Banten Province of 1.57 per cent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.71. The highest was in Pandeglang Regency at 2.20 per cent with a CPI of 108.19.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases in all expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.30 per cent; clothing and footwear group by 1.29 per cent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.58 per cent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.84 per cent; health group by 1.02 per cent; transportation group by 0.69 per cent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.56 per cent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 4.21 per cent; education group by 1.25 per cent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 1.95 per cent; and personal care and other services group by 7.81 per cent.
