April 2018 Banten inflation 0.31 percent

Entering April 2018, the prices of basic goods / services in Banten generally increased. This is evident from the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 139.66 in March to 140.09 in April or an index change (inflation) of 0.31 percent. 

All expenditure groups experienced an increase in index, respectively: foodstuffs rose by 0.82 percent; clothing rose by 0.71 percent; health groups rose by 0.37 percent; finished food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group rose by 0.31 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel groups rose by 0.04 percent and transport, communications and financial services group rose by 0.03 percent and education, recreation and sports groups rose by 0.01 percent; 

Dominant commodities contributing to inflation in April were chicken, red chillies, onions, gasoline, wet cakes and cotton sheets. 

The calendar year inflation rate stood at 1.16 percent, while the inflation "Year on Year" (CPI April 2018 to April 2017) was recorded at 3.80 percent
