Abstract

Banten NTP April 2019 amounted to 99.93 or down 0.21 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The decline in NTP was due to a decline in the price index of farmers while the price index paid by farmers increased.

In April 2019 there was a rural deflation in Banten Province of 0.03 percent which occurred in expenditure groups, namely the foodstuffs group, while the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups, Housing, Clothing, Health and transportation and communication experienced inflation.

Banten Agricultural Business Exchange (NTUP) April 2019 amounted to 105.38 or fell 0.32 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.

The average grain price at farm level in April compared to March for Dry Grain (GKG) decreased by 17.34 percent, Dry Grain Harvest (GKP) fell by 11.15 percent, and low quality fell by 1.84 percent.

Average grain price in April 2019 at the Farmer level for Rp. 4,575, GKP Rp. 3,978, - per kg, - and low quality Rp. 3,920 - per kg.

The lowest grain price at the farm level is Rp. 3,500 per kg for the quality of GKP with ciherang varieties and the highest price at the farm level of Rp 5,000 per kg for the quality of MPD with the varieties of Ciherang and Invari 32.

The nominal wage of farm workers in April 2019 compared to the wages of agricultural laborers in March 2019 has increased by 0.17 percent or up from Rp. 63,080, - per day to Rp. 63,188 per day. In real terms *) there was also an increase of 0.21 percent, up from Rp. 44,706, - per day to Rp. 44,798, - per day.
