Banten Economy Quarter II-2019 grew 5.35 percent

Abstract

Banten economy based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the second quarter of 2019 reached Rp 163.23 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 112.99 trillion.

Banten economy in the second quarter of 2019 grew 5.35 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, growth was driven by almost all fields of business, with the highest growth achieved by the Government Administration, Defense and Social Security Obligatory Fields of 9.46 percent. In terms of Expenditures, the highest growth was achieved by the Non-Profit Institution Expenditure Component, which grew by 10.03 percent.

Banten economy in the second quarter of 2019 increased by 1.91 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth in the Field of Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security is 5.30 percent. While in terms of expenditure achieved by the Government Consumption Component which increased by 24.30 percent.

Banten economy in the first semester of 2019 against the first semester of 2018 grew 5.39 percent. From the production side, growth is driven by all business fields except Mining and Quarrying, Electricity and Gas Procurement, and Transportation and Warehousing. The highest growth in the fields of Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security is 9.19 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it is mainly driven by the consumption component of the Non-profit Institution, which grew by 8.65 percent.

The economic structure of the Province of Java in the second quarter of 2019 was still dominated by DKI Jakarta Province which contributed to the Gross Regional Domestic Product of Java by 29.76 percent, then followed by East Java Province by 24.76 percent, West Java Province by 22.74 percent. Meanwhile, Banten Province contributed 6.91 percent
