Abstract

Banten Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in Quarter II-2019 amounted to 129.59, meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved or better than the previous quarter. The level of consumer confidence or optimism also increased compared to Quarter I-2019 (ITK of 111.22).

The improvement in consumer economic conditions in the second quarter of 2019 was driven by improvements in all forming variables, namely rising household income, low influence of inflation on consumption levels and increasing consumption of food, processed food in restaurants / restaurants and not food.

Banten Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in the third Quarter of 2019, estimated at 105.24. Means, the economic condition of consumers in the coming quarter is expected to improve. However, the level of consumer optimism is expected to decline compared to Quarter II-2019 (ITK of 129.59).

Improvement in consumer economic conditions in the third Quarter of 2019 later, is expected to occur due to an increase in household income, which is strengthened by an increase in plans for purchasing durable goods, recreation and parties / celebration by consumers.
