BANTEN 2020 ECONOMY DOWN 3.38 PERCENT (c-to-c), BANTEN ECONOMIC QUARTER IV-2020 DOWN 3.92 PERCENT (y-on-y), AND ECONOMIC OF BANTEN QUARTER IV-2020 GROWING 3.01 PERCENT (q -to-q)

Banten's economy in 2020 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at the current price reaches IDR 626.44 trillion and PDRB per capita reaches IDR 47.6 million or US $ 3,270.13.

Banten's economy in 2020 fell by 3.38 percent, compared to the achievements in 2019 which grew by 5.29 percent. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication Business Field at 9.14 percent. From the expenditure side, the deepest growth contraction occurred in the Total Net Export Component, amounting to 22.71 percent.

The economy of Banten in the fourth quarter of 2020 compared to the fourth quarter of 2019 fell by 3.92 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, several business fields still grew positively, with the highest growth being achieved by the Health Services and Social Activities Business Field at 12.33 percent. From the expenditure side, the deepest growth contraction occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) of 22.56 percent.

The economy of Banten in the fourth quarter of 2020 compared to the third quarter of 2020 experienced a growth of 3.01 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, this is due to most of the business fields that have had positive growth with the highest growth in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Fields of 14.87 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was in the Government Consumption Expenditure (PK-P) component of 17.61 percent.

The economic structure of the provinces in Java in the fourth quarter of 2020 was still dominated by the DKI Jakarta Province which contributed 30.34 percent to the Gross Regional Domestic Product in Java, followed by East Java Province at 24.68 percent, West Java Province at 24.68 percent. 22.28 percent. Meanwhile, Banten Province contributed 6.82 percent.
