The percentage of poor people in Banten in September 2021 drop to 6.50 percent

Abstract

The percentage of poor people in Banten Province in September 2021 was 6.50 percent, decreased by 0.16 percentage points against March 2021 and also decreased 0.13 percentage points against September 2020.
The number of poor people in September 2021 was 852.28 thousand people, a decrease of 15.00 thousand people against March 2021 and a decrease of 5.36 thousand people in September 2020.
The percentage of the urban poor in March 2021 was 5.93 percent, increasing to 6.04 percent in September 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in March 2021 was 8.49 percent, down to 7.72 percent in September 2021.
Compared to March 2021, the number of urban poor in September 2021 increased by 23.7 thousand people (from 552.96 thousand people in March 2021 to 576.62 thousand people in September 2021). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 38.6 thousand people (from 314.27 thousand people in March 2021 to 275.66 thousand people in September 2021).
The Poverty Line in September 2021 was recorded at IDR 547,483,-/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 395,258 (72.20 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 152,225 (27.80 percent) .
In September 2021, on average, a poor household in Banten had 4.89 household members. Thus, the average size of the Poverty Line per poor household is Rp.2,677,192/poor household/month.
