Abstract

In June 2022 there was inflation of 0.65 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 111.45. The three CPI cities in Banten Province experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon City at 0.89 percent with a CPI of 113.98. Followed by the city of Serang at 0.77 percent with a CPI of 115.15. Followed by the city of Tangerang with 0.59 percent with a CPI of 110.38.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of 8 expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.20 percent; transportation group by 0.41 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.26 percent; health group by 0.09 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.08 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.02 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups and the recreation, sports, and cultural groups by 0.01 percent each. Meanwhile, the group that experienced a decrease in the index was the personal care and other services group by 0.38 percent. Meanwhile, the education group as well as the information, communication and financial services group experienced an insignificant change in the index, which was less than 0.01 percent.
Calendar year inflation (June 2022 - December 2021) is 3.56 percent, and year-on-year inflation (June 2022 to June 2021) is 4.62 percent.
