There was inflation in July 2021 of 0.03 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon City at 0.06 percent.

Abstract

In July 2021 there was inflation of 0.03 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.56. The three CPI cities in Banten Province experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon City at 0.06 percent with a CPI of 108.52. Followed by Serang city at 0.03 percent with a CPI of 108.82 and Tangerang city at 0.02 percent with a CPI of 105.84.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the transportation group index by 0.20 percent; education group by 0.09 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.05 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.04 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group; recreation, sports, and cultural groups; and the food and beverage/restaurant supply group each experienced an increase of 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decline in the index were the personal care and other services group by 0.03 percent; and the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, the health group and the information, communication and financial services group experienced a change in index of less than 0.01 percent.

Calendar year inflation (January-July) 2021 is 0.90 percent, and year-on-year inflation (July 2021 to July 2020) is 1.24 percent.
