There was inflation in October 2020 of 0.11 percent. The highest inflation occurred in the City of Cilegon with 0.24 percent.

In October 2020 there was an inflation of 0.11 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.23. The three CPI cities in Banten Province experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon with 0.24 percent with the CPI of 106.42. Followed by the city of Tangerang at 0.10 percent with a CPI of 104.72 and the city of Serang at 0.03 percent with a CPI of 106.98.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the health group by 0.51; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.29 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.24 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.24 percent; equipment, tools, and household routine maintenance group by 0.13 percent; the education group of 0.05 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group of 0.02 percent. While other groups experiencing a decrease in index, namely: the recreation group by 0.52 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuels group of 0.04 percent; the transportation group of 0.04 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.02 percent.

The October 2020 calendar year inflation rate is 1.09 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (October 2020 to October 2019) is 1.57 percent.
